Depression

Add the color back into your life

Depression

Depression feels different for everyone. It often feels extremely isolating and can cause difficult feelings of hopelessness, guilt, and shame; and yet, it is a commonly experienced condition. Talking about depression with loved ones who have not experienced it can be difficult and make us feel further misunderstood and disconnected. Depression is different from sadness. It can drain the color and meaning from a person’s life and makes life feel absent of emotion and passion. We can feel like strangers to ourselves; disconnected from our usual ways of feeling, thinking, and being. Depression can feel like a labyrinth–it negatively impacts individuals’ thoughts, emotions, and physiology; making it difficult to see clearly and to take the steps necessary to treat and heal from their depression.

At Brickell Psychology, we understand that depression is generated by a variety of unique individual factors. Reach out to us in order to start your path out of depression. It is our priority to help you feel supported, connected, and accompanied on your journey. We work on rekindling hope and adding the color back into your world.
